Company out of Illinois. Was on my 10 hr break. Close to there offices.They don't have a truck terminal. They do pay 1000 a week. Because I didn't answer the phone while on my break they let me go. Said I wasn't communicating. Well they said We will book you a plane home. You have to prepare to get on planes these days . I wasn't prepared at the time. They handled it in not so nice a way. Basically I'm glad I had already had a back up plan. I was able to get help with a room for the weekend. And was able to obtain transportation on Monday. This happened on a Friday. If I had not gotten a room would have been stranded with no place to stay. So I had to fend for myself. Hope they change and learn to handle things more professionally. Just didn't work for me there. Maybe it can for others who try them.
Sorry, but I'm past that " experimental " phase of my career. There are no maybe's in my choices of whatever I do. Happy job hunting. I wish you the best.
I just talked with them I'm staying far from.52cpm is a scam in today's inflation. No company should be in businesses paying these slave wages with experience drivers(I have 5 years)
