How is your blood pressure? I ask because I know from personal experience that higher blood pressure can affect eyesight. When I started trucking I was required to wear glasses. But when I went on BP meds to lower my blood pressure my eyesight improved. Now I only use my glasses for reading small print, but I can pass the DOT physical with no problem without them. Even my night vision has improved.
My blood is like 138/78 something like that? What was yours? What was the name of the medicne you took to get blood pressure down?
Did your doc tell you this? Or are you assuming you need it? If you have glasses then your scrip should be adjusted to fix the problem, getting glasses is not an issue. You can find them cheap.
America's Best is only 100$ for an exam and 6 pairs of disposable(monthly) contacts. I think even Walmart does contact optical exams for around 50$.
The contact that i will need is not just a common contact. I need a specialized contact that will make my right eye vision 20/30 atleast
If you have a passport you can go to Algodones Mexico and get glasses cheap. Tons of "snowbirds" go there for pharmacy, dentistry, and glasses. Here's a YouTube video explaining how easy it is to do this.
Mine was a lot higher when I got on the meds. More like 180/115. Your numbers are pretty good, and I doubt it would be affecting your eyes. My doctor was actually surprised when I told him that my eyesight improved with the medication. He had never heard of it, and he is near my own age. But it does make sense that if blood pressure increases it would affect the vessels and veins in the eyes as well. What surprised me is that he was surprised by it.
