I'm leaving LandStar to goto Walmart. Start Dec 1st. Been re-applying for six years before I finally got the call. I'll update as I get started but I already know it'll be nice. Real nice.

Post in the "Walmart Here I come" thread. Tell them your story on how long you have tried for this. It shows the folks that don't get in the first time or even second time they apply, that persistence pays off.

It is worth it. My husband actually got through part of the old hiring process years before he got the job. Obviously he didn't make it that time. He knew what had kicked him out, and Buckeye didn't hire again for many years after that. Yet, he knew he would be driving for Walmart, and would tell friends and family that was his goal.

It's good to have goals. :)

Gaawd..... Its not what you know its who you know... Three yrs later after they finally get to your application they will find something that will disqualify you and throw it to the trash. This is Walmart were talking about , they dont care about their employees , low pay etc. You cant say they dont do that to their drivers too. Youre either good or bad , cant be half good or half bad . Walmart could afford to make their own drivers anyhow. For years I was under the impression the trucks drove themselves ,Being how secretive they are .
