Wish it were that easy..... it seems to me that, unless you are a Wal-Mart driver, they couldn't care less if you arrived legal, OR are legal to leave when the short bus people get done counting the freight coming off the trailer.

I am a contracted dedicated Walmart driver: we are NEVER asked to do anything illegally! Don’t know where you heard that: but it’s untrue. Safety is stressed as well...

Incorrect. However we are not responsible for tracking or ensuring your compliance with 395.

Then explain to me why I have been asked to leave their properties immediately after unloading is complete, even after being told that to do so would not be legal without the hours to support it. This has happened to me several times already. Granted, the clarification and flexibility being allowed to use personal conveyance has helped alleviate some of that; but that is not the point....

Walmart has zero control over how many hours you have. It is your responsibility to ensure you do not violate 395. Not Walmart, not your company though the regs require they not force or allow you to, not the lumpers, not King Supers, or Safeway, Amazon. Dell, no one but you is responsible for your safe, and compliant operation of your truck.
