Actually got off early this Friday and finished all my end of week chores. Tomorrow gonna sleep in and go to the range in the afternoon to zero and test fire an AR15 that I re-barrelled last weekend. Sunday gonna be a lazy ###.

I would post pics but I am a techno retard. I have posted a video online before, maybe I can try that later. I am shooting an old school fixed A2 carry handle 14.5" barrel carbine later today. Iron sights baby!

Nope. The flash hider is an extended length one which is pinned and welded to the 14.5" barrel in accordance with BATFE regs bringing the length to a legal 16". I bought this new barrel online from Windham Weaponry with the extended A2 flash hider already pinned and welded. Other companies like Palmetto State Armory and Bravo Company sell the 14.5" barrels and the extended flash hiders, but they don't sell them put together which means you gotta pay a gunsmith to do it when you get the parts in. Windham was a one stop shop. The barrel shot great, hit steel out to 550 yards with the fixed carry handle iron sights. I was shooting Wolf Gold brass case .223 made in Taiwan. I also had some Winchester 5.56 mm ammo, but it had ####ty brass-most rounds would not extract due to the brass not contracting after firing expansion-Wolf Gold ran like a top.

Ah, ok. That was going to be my next question.

I just sold one that I built with an 11.5" barrel and a 5" pinned and welded flashed hider.
