03 peterbilt 379. Old Wernner truck. Rear seal right side. 4 time replacing wheel seal in last 3 years. Races good, bearings good according to Mechanic. Spindle seems to be in great shape almost perfect considering its an 03., 3.55 rears. Any advice would be great.
Pull the vent and manually run a drill bit from bottom to top. Not often the vent will plug at the bottom and the cap is free and loose.
Just a few things I can think of.... What kind of seal you using? Are the races tight in the hub? Before taking the axle nuts off can you move the wheel any? (When I do a brake job on a truck I always push on the top of the wheels after I jack the axle up to test for play). Are the spindle nuts torqued properly? Have you checked for cracks in the hub itself? (I have seen this before as well) Is the mechanic cleaning the spindle and hub area really good? Is there any damage to the spindle? (I have seen hairline cracks in axles near the spindle as well).
