Depends on what they signed up for. Jones Brothers in Missoula used to (maybe still do?) run their flatbeds to the east coast a lot. Their ads would say three weeks out. Maybe that’s how this company is and some guys got by the house and had a hard time leaving.
Hard time leaving the house disease has afflicted trucking since trucking was invented. Definitely a woman dispatcher. A dude would say nothing, and the going by the house for a 34 would just not be available anymore.
If drivers are being paid for OTR, yet complaining that they need to be home for every 34, I could understand.
That company is just saying what they ALL are. Wouldn't you love to have a camera facing your driver manager, and company office staffs breakroom and listen to them RUN your ### down all day long.
Don't need one to know what goes on there. When all the BS started, Landstar gave everyone an extra $50 load for not hiding under the bed. They gave all the agents the same. There were several that took exception to me as I pointed out they had to make that daily harrowing journey from the bedroom to the kitchen.
