Everyone that works at this company will probably be moving a private vehicle to a Terminal. Staging for a departure if needed. To protect against Truck Abondonment charges being placed in their history files.
The company appears to have a 3 week minimum out before home time policy. Just guessing. But are letting some go every weekend if they can. If people “choose” to work there………….. Just saying
That is true. They don't have to stay there. A lot of other companies are hiring in the USA, but I am sure this was very shocking to most of their drivers, just like it is for us, right?
Shocking, yes. But not overstepping their authority. I wouldn’t stay after that, but not gonna say they were totally in the wrong, just that they could have handled it better for sure
I guess it needs some context with how much extra time was being taken at home. The message was too aggro, but how many jobs can you show up late for? When I worked in a warehouse, you would get dinged for clocking in a minute late.
That dispatcher sounds like a real joy to work for. Somebody needs to chain that dispatcher to their chair until they reconsider their "going home is a privilege" mindset.
