####. My buddy just got laid off this morning. Trucking must be slow. Said they've just been parking trailers that need major work the last couple weeks.

This is not some fly-by-night operation either. Pretty big company out here in Western Canada.

Ok, been stressful few days. Took my boy to the hospital wed. For surgery. Checked in at 5am....got out of surgery at 12:45. Removed 20 to 40 lympnodes, thyroid, and parathyroid, all cancerous. He's doing fine today. Talking and eating and drinking. They were worried they might damage his vocal cord nerves and or hearing......they didnt !! Not sure if they removed the cancerous parathyroid or not. Won't know for a few days. If not he will have to undergo another surgery in a few weeks. He will have to take thyroid meds for life.....but will live a healthy life. Poor wife has been beside herself during all this. He will start iodine radiation in a month to kill what cancer they missed. Going to bring him home tomorrow. These people here at THE JAMES MEDICAL CENTER in Columbus are fantastic people. ON TOP OF THEIR GAME !!!

Thoughts with you and yours. On the synthroid meds. They'll take time, probably 6-12months to mess with the dosage to get it right. But after that it'll be one pill a day, with testing probably quarterly, then every six months, and then even possibly once a year. Just to check "levels" etc. If he's feeling sluggish and other things they'll want to up it...etc. They'll go over all this if they've not already.

That's it synthroid ! That exactly what's going to happen. Forget the type of doc he has to get with to figure out the dosage. ....been so much going on I can't remember it all !!
