    Some Walmarts are listed as no-layover stores..meaning what it says..you can't stay the night. Some other stores don't allow outside carriers to stay overnight at their stores, but allow WM trucks to overnight there. And finally, there is the Walmarts that allow all trucks to overnight. You can prolly get a printed list of the individual stores that your DC services, and what layover policy each store has.

    You can overnight at any Walmart store you want, as long as it's allowed by that individual store. I have many stores in my area that I have saved in my GPS that are great layover stores, and I stay at regardless if I've delivered there that day or not.

    all the cleaning chemicals and spraying down the the bed will kill you long before any germs or virus does. but by all means clean out your lungs with a good dose of fabreeze lol

    Are you allowed to use your phone or iPad for navigation and use a suction cup mount on the windshield?

    No, no and just to make sure. It can not be nothing on and in between the windshield and/on the top of the dashboard, be electronics, paperwork, papertowel, hand sanitizer, etc. Nada! You can hang the phone in front of the dashboard, also the same with a gps. Before moving the truck, you have to put the address on your navigation and same with the truck computer. Again holding a cell or anything electronic when driving is a big deal there. WM wants you to use their Navigation system, and follow it. You can make decisions to not follow if feel unsafe. You can use google maps to check or whatever. I would bring a GPS, in case their system is upgrading as it happens in any company inboard navigation. But so far, their system is reliable.

    How high pressure would you say their loads are? Is it just boom boom boom one trailer after another until you run out of hours or do you have some decompression time between loads?

    Sleeping on same mattress sounds not so good. All the driver will have to release some stress when driving 5 days. They must shooting off in the sleeper. Ha ha

    While I cannot speak for all driver and all DC's, but in my experience, it's as high pressure as you want it to be. If you want to run your hours down to zero each day, WM will keep you moving. If you want to sleep in and call it a short day, simply adjust your ETD to when you're available and no one is going to question you.

    Again, I cannot speak for everyone...but where I'm running (west coast), even with traffic, it's about the most laid back trucking job I could ask for.

    If one cannot safely handle the tremendous responsibility and dangers of operating a Febreze bottle, I'm not sure driving a 80k lb truck is the best career choice...
