I was fueling up there a couple of years ago, and watched the inbound security guard let in a car full of hookers and got some folding money pressed into his palm for the service.
I tried to buy a couple of the Celadon International Lonestar's last year. I live close to their old shared yard with Quality Co. in Waxahachie, TX. They wanted entirely too much money for a truck from a company in the middle of a bankruptcy. Had they not been asking for 20% over the top market value for a truck with 450,000 miles I'd have bought two of them.
The South Dallas T/A is full of crooks and scammer. I avoid it and only stop if absolutely necessary.
I work in Grand Prairie ... parking situation is bleak in the DFW area ... overall its a seedy place Stay about 60 miles out side the area and you should do ok up until about 5:30 or so ... then things fill up quick
