Every tote that's hazmat has to have a strap. It's the only way you'll pass a cargo inspection.

Dude in NM cut the cable seal off on a level 2 on me once.

 

10 straps isn't enough. At least they are only $12 at the tarp monkey store.

 

There's someplaces that do an excellent job of loading it, they'll block it and brace it.

I haven't done Van in 6 years? Tankers and flatbed you get treated well and normally higher level of professionalism in the loading or unloading. For sure that on tankers.

 

I haul non haz Liquid chemicals, In plastic totes sometimes, I call it Soap. Sounds much better, since I also haul food loads. Anyways, the problem is, a lot of Shippers are requiring Tanker endorsement, on License. I decided I could live without the Loads, since they do slosh around a lot, ride rough, and are hard on the Truck. I’ll probably go ahead and add Tankers, and get a Twic card. As much as I hate to, been missing out on too many good paying Loads headed home. Never heard of a strap on every haz pallet. Not surprised though.

 

The requirements have changed in the last 6 years. IDK by how much.

 

No, it’s all good. Well actually right now it’s all leaked out. Bad schrader valve. I need to fix it. The bunks a 84”, but has the same HVAC as a 48” flat top. What it really needs is dual air in the bunk.

 

After and before pics, I’m finally done. That was a lot of work, just to water some flowers. Fixed a few broken pipes, new backflow preventer, All new Valves , sprinkler heads, timer, added 17 new sprinklers. Now it should be less maintenance, when I come home. Been fighting dead grass and weeds every summer. Bought this house as a foreclosure, everything was trashed and neglected. First house I’ve had with a sprinkler system. It came out good. Funny you should say that. I noticed the horizontal e-track first in refers. Usually small fleets that would prefer not to buy pallets of toppled product. One place ran track the length of the trailer at about 6 foot up. Driver said quick stabilize the load as you run around doing muti picks or drops. At the back 10 foot of the trailer they had it at 2 foot vertical increments so they could stabilize all the half skids.

I ended up pulling out the worn out rub rails at the bottom of my dry van and replaced it with 2 horizontal rows of e-track on each side. Made it easy to strap in low skids that were less than a foot high. I hauled a bunch of precision cut stock that was on skids like that. basically skids of aluminum or steel bricks going to machine shops.

 

Cut that grass lower on the first pic, add a couple holes and some pins/flags and you got a putting greening to practice on!
