I asked the OM and her assistant for a raise in per diem allowance.

    It was denied. 20201021_164748.jpg

My understanding is that they have a "few" drivers for places that you have no choice. But the bulk of the fleet is not chaining. You carry them but don't chain up.

Man gotta use his head in fooling with logs. Daddy would send me and brother (12 & 14) to woods (oak/hickory) for a load of wood.
Crosscut saw, axe, 2 chains, farm tractor and 4 wheel farm trailer. Cut the 10-12 inch stuff and 12 ft long.
Bring it to the house to work up. Let it dry a month. Wedges and sledge to split.

Which is smart cause I've seen CRE and Werner completely f'd up on the big hill on US20. Slid into the embankment.

I thought," What Jack ### would have them attempt this?"

Schneider in full panic waving his vest out the window on I84 before the scales in Idaho. That......God please forgive me, was funnier than ####. I mean like grown man and two cats could not stop laughing for the rest of the day.

In Memphis proper: down about where Lamar meets S. Parkway and below where the old Allied Mills was.
be best to have something towable if you wanted protection.

If I had a better way of doing it I would have. My wife was the one who arranged for this small load of logs... The guy calls when he on hus way and asks "Do you have a way to unload this?" Well I was on the road so I was no help and the guy had to roll them off his trailer by hand. But being as I wasnt home he didnt get them where I wanted... So I had to move them.
