This is one of those times that you say to yourself, "man, if I hadn't had to have that ice cream cone with extra sprinkles, I would have been by this douche. Yep, it was the extra sprinkles that did it."

Life is funny sometimes. You're always 1 pee stop away from a good day or a bad day.

The old "Going to be late cause there's a windmill in the middle of the highway."

    Heard it a 1000 times.

When I was kid there was a legendary charter boat captain in our county. He was kinda a character like the boat captain in Jaws. He carried plain mayonnaise sandwiches every day on the boat for lunch. Dude was hard a nails. Left his lunch sitting on the engine box a little too long one day and it killed him dead before the rescue boat could get to him.
I have no idea if the story is true. Left a pretty big impression on me as a child though. To this day I watch ALL mayonnaise like a hawk. Won't touch it if I don't know where it's been or how long it's been out. Lol

Weekend run is an easy one. La. to W.Va. Monday load is charcoal in Parsons. I’ve been there once 16 yrs ago. TQL load. The Owners Father was a nice Guy. Got the Load from him. I mentioned my wife was a bit overwhelmed setting up loads via fax machine. He went out of his way to tell her she was doing a great job. Wife got a boost of confidence from it. Hard to believe TQL actually started out as a good Broker. Since been bought by Crooks. We both agreed to not do Business together anymore. Now all I have to do is not go in the way I did last time. Hairpin curves and switchbacks. Had my ICC bumper actually dragging the ground, it was so steep. Went out the right way, it’s not much better. Very steep, and Loaded very heavy. It was scary. Should be fun this time. Will be headed to NC with it.

We just threw some away. Been unplugging refrigerator every time we make coffee. Got some little packets from QUickTrip in Geargia last night. I’m thinking that might just be the way to go. No refrigeration needed. That reminds me, new Hines ketchup bottles are that way. Sealed top. No mess, no refrigeration needed. We still refrigerate it after open though. But it says as much, right on the bottle. Always wondered about the ketchup in restaurants, filled daily, left out all the time.

Trucking has so much weird stuff, that we're kinda immune to it.

Civilians are the ones that are astonished.

We had a great lunch. Tony’s Seafood on Plank road in Baton Rouge. Catfish, fried and baked, Corn bread, red beans and rice, green beans, mashed potatoes w/gravy. One stuffed crab, and a pint of Crawfish etoufee. One lb. of boiled crawfish, seasoned just right. A coke, and Barq’s root beer for me. It was some good Jya!!!
