The other part of this is I am solar powered, no matter what time I get to bed, I'm awake 530-6am. And probably not getting back to sleep. This is a lot of overnight stuff and its killing this old man.

I'm full of arthritis, (heredity) hip replacement on the right side already, and I'm approaching 60. I'd be doing deck work otherwise.
I came from a company doing tires. Easy work, all drop and looks, long miles, which I loved, houston, larado, shortest was the carolinas. The company I worked for, which WAS a great company got bought by a quebec company and, for owner ops, it went down hill fast.
    So here I am... lol

This is a big part of what makes flatbed work appeal to me. You can always see what you are dealing with because it’s all out in the open right in front of you. You can see and often predict a problem before it happens and a lot of times you can fix the problem yourself without relying on some incompetent mouth breather on the dock.

Switch to tanker. You never have to pay some drug addict to load/unload your freight. The trailers don't even notice crosswinds and they are so much easier to back. The one downside ;-) is the customers insist on treating you like a human being instead of like some stray dog.

That gave me flashbacks of Walmart Dedicated 12 years ago.
