Thanks for the explanation and clarification. I think I'll just play it safe and obstain from the topic entirely. Knowing the rules helps immensely as well.

Thanks. So essentially don't respond to a political comment because of the potential direction it can take but merely mentioning something political can possibly be an acceptable gray area. That's helpful as well.

Also know that the politics section is generally populated with some of the most contentious, ignorant, and moronic people you will ever meet on line.
Best advice is to steer clear. It's really not worth your time.

Lol. I believe it. That’s why I’ve never ventured. Last thing they need is another Know it all like myself. People who argue about Politics usually have a lot in common. They certainly don’t have anything in common with the Politicians they’re so passionate about. Same with all the rich and famous people that are worshipped. Breaking news. A Kardashian farted in public. Lol. Who cares.

I admit it’s hard to keep politics out of these forums. Trucking is so impacted by politics. We are so regulated, and almost every politician always mentioned something about us. There’s not enough drivers, the trucks pollute too much, we drive too fast, elogs, automatic breaking, hours of service etc… The attacks on our livelihoods and our culture come from politicians. We can bury our head in the sand and pretend all this isn’t happening around us.. meanwhile, our insurance rates, get higher, trucks become more expensive, and we see a demise of our industry. You don’t see Hollywood get attacked, like us, academia, artist, or realtors. Pretty much us non-elite non-mostly college educated get punched more than anybody. I don’t think I’ve seen an industry get pummeled as much as we have. In the end, all you got is some driver 2-3 weeks on the road working 70 hours a week just trying to be left alone to be allowed to deliver all the important and useless things people desperately want.
