Is it really this bad or is it the company?

    Hello friends,

Sheer frustration on my end. My boyfriend has been averaging 2 loads a week at his current company. I am not kidding when I tell you he has been sitting empty in Laredo, TX since Thursday afternoon when he delivered there.

I have been a company owner & dispatcher for 13 years. IS it his company or are any of you in this situation? I have never heard of someone sitting for 5 night, EVER!

About to go broke over here... I would love to hear if it's just us or this company. He is an owner-op with a paid off truck & trailer.

That's what I was thinking.. How many loads are you averaging a week in this economy?

And if he's an O/O depending on 'dispatch', he's a fool. That's just silly

....if he has his own truck and truck insurance and his own trlr , he can go where he wants . If it's a contracted trailer , drop it and bobtail to another trailer some where else.

Take it easy . Sometimes it happens . Get on a load board , find a load within 250-300 miles , go get it , do it . Now if he's running under someones authority or is contracted to do only that company, then have him call whomever , tell'em PC 'ing to home or where ever , and you'll be moving again. Like was said earlier , if your relying on a disp to do the job as a O/O , your missing a step . Unless your obiligated one way or another ( ins or auth) you go where you want

If you've been a company owner & dispatcher for 13 years you should know it's the company he is working with. Or maybe he's refusing to DH a couple hundred of miles.

Sometimes I do 1 load a week, sometimes I do 30, all depends on money

If it’s his company then it’s his fault?…..
