I used copilot. It only struggled in California but it was as good as it gets. It was rare to open up the atlas.

Can be used on phone, tablet, and computer. One time license that never needed hardware replacement.

I can't speak for Garmin but it was way better then rand.

It never steered me wrong. Minus California. Which google came in handy.

    Sygic might have something also.

Mine did not. Instead, it displays the speed limit, & this speed limit "box" changes to a red color when going over the speed limit.

Newer models/versions may well be set up differently from that.

No. If you exceed the speed limit on the road your displayed speed will get a red border around it. That happens at 1mph over up to 999mph over.

Is that explained in the instruction manual? Cuz I don't know how that would be actually tested.

The Garmin might have good maps but the Rand beats them by a mile with its adjustable speed warning.
Does Garmin think everyone drives the speed limit and you want to be warned 1 mph over? Really.
If so Garmin is clueless. Every driver I know drives 8-10 over, so for speed warning Garmin is completely useless.

I have always used RM in the truck, but I do have a basic Garmin for my car.
I prefer the RM hands down, for the graphics and the layout and ease of use.
