I guess that’s why I can feel the locomotives running behind my house! That’s like three hundred homes worth of electricity just to get that 450 horsepower! We had an ice storm here years ago, cp wired a locomotive in to the grid and powered most of Montreal west, my home included. I guess I’m comparing raisins to jackfruit!

And that’s why they don’t let carpenters play with electrical stuff

IMG_1461.jpeg At least Edison has a good looking truck. I’d be willing to give one a try. Not the cheesy looking vacuum cleaner style, a good solid looking truck. Maybe the Canadians will show us how it’s done.

Kind of defeats the purpose of efficiency if you make your vehicle as un-aerodynamic as possible.

Some nice trucks were designed and built in Western Canada back in the day. Hayes, Pacific and Challenger. Edison definitely drew some inspiration from them in their design.

They designed it for logging. Aerodynamics mean nothing when you're 9 wide and have logs loaded 4 feet above the roof of the cab.

Wow! That is one impressive bit of kit! I like the fact it is built by the people in the industry, they aren’t going to use something that won’t do the work just to make people feel good. I hope they get a home run with that one. Thanks for the post
