As I recall a refinery blows up or has a fire every few years. May be Martinez area, the Lost Hills fracking zone, Bakersfield, or the LA area but crap happens.

No sympathy on the Cali fuel prices, their self imposed over regulation on the witches brew and carbon tax are the primary culprits.

Cali diesel prices spiked up about $1 per gallon when the carbon tax dropped. The cap and trade carbon tax shell game has messed up the WA fuel prices about the same amount. Unfortunately the rest of the state was not able to out vote King County and their sycophants for the repeal initiative.
