"I really think it doesn't have anything to do with speed restricted trucks. Its that really bad "flash to pass" habit that 4-wheelers get into... transferred over to driving a CMV by a very new driver."

That was the point. I think it just missed you though. Who do the "flash to pass" 4-wheeler drivers work for when they get their new CDL? Swift, Werner, England, etc... you get the point(hopefully). Now all these companies have speed restricted trucks. So you have "flash to pass" 4 wheeler drivers with their new CDL's working for the big guys with the speed restricted trucks. Therefore this results in the majority of the "flash to passers" driving speed restricted trucks.

That's circular logic - one doesn't necessarily lead to the other. Speed limitation is for a number of reasons - forced fuel economy, insurance, ability to go into Canada.

I always turn my FLATBED off when I park it next to another truck , but times pull 1 of my reefers and I try to get parked in with the other reefers so noise is not a problem.

Question 1: This time of year is often perfect sleeping temperature. Why are so many of you idling?
Question 2: How can you sleep when idling with air that levels off every 60s? I'd rather be next to a reefer that doesn't cycle.
