I obtained my CDL-A last year and I am currently working for Central Transport have been for about a month now. Can anyone give me some information on this company as they have been trying to get me to run illegal. Also I am looking into Conway LTL and have applied there. Can anyone offer me some good info on them as well. Conway would only be like a twenty minute drive from my house as oppossed to an hour to Central. Thanks for any advice!

Some companies will try and send you dispatches no matter what, just do your job and inform them of why you can or cannot do the load. Its that simple, if they say something else start mentioning safety this that and maybe it helps. I used to get asked to do all kinds of stuff like run all night after running all day when I first started and after awhile I just learned to do one thing, send a qualcom msg in with "I am going to bed, don't bother me".

Thing is there is many pushovers that drive trucks and think they have to do anything some turd in an office says, um nah uh.

you say nothing new regarding that skank company....i did not work for them, but i was SUPPOSED to work for an o/o who had a contract with them. he put me right about them....the dock workers get paid by the pounds, and on a 1099 i do believe. the health benefits used to be "Cherokee" which is about as low as you can go and still get rejected for payments. the drivers also get a 1099 i do believe...

its the worst of the worst in local companies, get outta dodge as quickly as you can....this company will also DAC you BIG TIME.......so beware of that too..

    how do i know that...??

simple, i turned down the job with the o/o and they DAC'd me..by first saying i was an employee (totally false) then when i thought i got that cleared up, they said I WAS AN O/O...!! another in the series of LIES....

took me 4 MONTHS to get them off my DAC.....!!!

GET OUTTA DODGE BOY, GET OUTTA DODGE....!!!!

you WILL DO BETTER at Conway......
