Realistic miles and pay...largely depends on you...but usually averages between 1,800 and 2,400 miles, regardless of what type of logs you're using. It slows down some...sometimes...and sometimes you're busier than a 3 peckered goat. Things get pretty slow around Thanksgiving and Christmas, I always take my vacation during these times and and spend it sitting in a tree stand freezing my butt off (the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas, until after New Years...) A mans gotta deer hunt ya know
I live in Northeast MS. Does anyone know what the freight lanes through here are like and what sort of freight is generally hauled by Maverick in those lanes?
i'm still on paper too, but that may change this week as my first load of the week has me buzzing by the NLR yard. Truck is way overdue a service, and my trailer is a POS, so a stop in NLR is unavoidable I suppose. at least your getting good miles on those rough weeks, it's the weeks they run your ### into the ground, and you don't crack 2000 miles that really suck.
detention policy 2bucks every 15 mins after you have been at the customer for 3 hours after your arrival time for a pu or del window, ie 0700-1400. you get there at 0800 and are not loaded or unloaded until 1200, you would get one hour of detention pay. If you have a pu or del appointment, lets say 1000 then 3 hours later at 1300 you havent been loaded or unloaded. . . 2 dollars every 15 mins for a total of 8 dollars an hour. benefits- medical, dental, vision- variety of options ask a recruiter. average miles for me a week 2200--2400 weekly AVERAGE. doesn't mean every week you will get 2500 miles its an AVERAGE
Pardon my interruption but I got a call from a Maverick recruiter today and I'm as excited as I can be! Maverick is very high on my list of companies to work for.
