Rand offered to RMA it once. I held on to it in the interest of fixing the code. You offered once. That is not "numerous times". I have told you "numerous times" that I'm on the road and can't mail it in right now.

You posted that you do not use it. Until Sporterbob popped up and Kwantz then you started again. So, for someone who has no faith in the TND and does not use it why not simply send it to me. You have the time to post for several hours on TTR, but cannot take 10 minutes to put it in a box at no cost to you.

A unit is a unit.

Rand does not own the Display models. The travel centers do via DAS. Rand has no control if they are non-operational. DAS is responsible for their displays. We can only suggest if a TND is non-operational.

If a store display such as a laptop is not working right is it the manufacture responsibility to visit each store? Think not. It is the store's responsibility since they own the product. If the store does not fix the products then word can be send back to the manufacture to address with the store, but the manufacture cannot simply walk in and replace the product.

If I spot a TND that is non-operational I address it with the store manager and also send word back to Rand. The store manager addresses it with their company and DAS. DAS does have people whom are responsible for certain areas.

Go back the last week or two and see how many times I have addressed your issues. I cannot troubleshoot via air. Either let me remote into your TND via your laptop or send it to me. Rand Customer service will not address any software/hardware issues since it is out of warranty. I am tier 3 for Customer support. Software wise they will address updating the TND, but they will not go deep into files and see if your issue is a corruption issue.

I have not refused. That's your game.

You have never PM'd me to help with anything I've posted. You PM'd me about testing a specific beta version that was in testing at the time. I decided that I did not have the time to devote to it at that time. You went on later to insinuate that I, as a normal consumer, was to stupid to say anything about the unit or how it worked. That ended when I reminded you that Rand offered to make me tester, which you seemed to have forgotten about.

Only in the way you took what I said. I am in charge of the Beta Testers and I did not forget.

I have offered help, which you have fought tooth and nail. Some of my ideas were put on the unit, despite that. That's pretty hard to explain if all I've ever done is slam it, so like I said, keep right on trying to discredit me or make me look bad. Anyone can go back through the posts and decide for themselves how it went.

Beta versions are always ahead of production versions. You are not the only one who suggest ideas, but for the most part most ideas have already been put in code, but we are unable to say anything about it if it is in the next version or not.

It is in your court. Take ten minutes to ship me the head unit from a truck stop. I am sure you can find FedEx shipping materials there. Put it in the shipping material and use the free label I send you. You have been on TTR for the last several hours today and you could have taken 10 minutes to send me the TND. It is useless to continue on slamming the issues you are having without any way of allowing me to examine your TND. I offered different suggestions on some of your screens and you simply said you do not have time for my cxxx.

Ok, I dunno what your deal is, but I haven't posted about it for two days. So not "several hours today." I've been sitting in the shop for several hours and haven't been online at all until late this afternoon. Look at my post: "1 hour ago"

I already told you that I can't mail it right now. You emailed me a pdf file of a shipping label. I do not have a way to print it. If you know of a way to get a random truck stop to print a shipping label directly out of my email, please let me know. Until then, lay off it already.

I didn't say the display units were inoperational, I said that I could replicate some of the same errors on them as are on mine.

I didn't even know it was possible to remote into a tnd, but yes, if you'd like to try that, I can hook it up in a bit. I swapped out a bad battery and now I've forgotten exactly how the last three wires went on so I'm hunting for a diagram before the battery on my laptop gives out. Yay, fun.

Put the file on a jump drive or SD Card and take into a truck stop. I have had managers print things up for me that were needed.

Ask over the CB is any other driver has a printer that you could print a PDF file on. It is one page.

Then give me step by step on the issue(s) you found. I would need all your truck settings and route settings.

Their is remoting software, but it is much easier if you are on a High Speed network in case I have to move files between laptops. Your TND would be hooked to your laptop and I would remote into your laptop.

Maps for 2012 are not out for sale yet. Maps for 2011 are currently for sale.

Also is the new toll bridge on highway 1 in Leeville Louisiana on the updates ? As it was opened for traffic two weeks ago.
