Been lurking for awhile considering career change. Read t/o most posts here. Held a class a license many moons ago but never used. In order to make this happen need schooling again. Any positive or negatives around choosing Key energys driving school?? Anyone having gone t./o their course? Also what oppportunities offered upon completion? I'll try post the link here. Thanks Dirk
Dirk... Key is a good place. Might also consider FTS International. They have a training school also. Another is Pioneer Natural Resources. I am interviewing with them for an instructor position they have. There's a starting point. You might add Nabors to that, but I'm not for sure what they have to offer. I know when I talked to them, the Yard Manager was more interested in the fact I had been an instructor for Prime for years. Good luck.
Thank you Jonben, I will look at those others you mentioned. Job posting says Ozuna, Tx but the description below mentions victoria. Here's how it reads: · Company paid tuition for 5 Week CDL School: Earn Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements (must have a certified copy of birth certificate for school enrollment) · Paid wages during training at CDL School · Lodging and meals provided while in CDL School · Candidates must provide own transportation to and from compliance training and CDL school in Victoria, Texas · Will be trained to operate a tractor trailer/commercial motor vehicle · Must have strong background in manual labor with ability to work in all outdoor climates and conditions · Must be able to work at least 12-14 hours a day and on various shifts Is the above offerings similiar industry wide? I will research. Dirk
That looks like its probably Key or FTS. I 've seen basically that same ad with several other towns mentioned. Both are good trust worthy companies I have found in my research. Since I've had my cdl for over 9 years, I haven't researched those ads, specifically, although I have talked to both companies.
