cooking with a george foreman

    What are some good things to cook on one of these george foreman grills that will not make a huge mess in the truck. Trying to get away from the truckstop food

    I don't about particular meals but I often thought that having one of those old metal drive-in window trays that hook to the window would be pretty great to set a cooker or grill on. Hanging just outside the window, you could sit in the seat and keep an eye on it to see when food was done and not get the inside of the truck all greasy or smokey.

    Cooking in trucks is not recommended.
    But if you must,rodents and roaches aren't picky eaters.

    Chicken, fish, shrimp, pork, veggies. You can make a lot of healthy stuff with it. Good on you for trying to avoid the iron skillet.

    I have only used it at home and any greasy food you cook you have to deal with the grease drain off so I like to stick to chicken and low fat burgers/stakes. I am not a big fan of pork so never tried it on the grill.

    Also do pannienes (sp?) – low salt lunch meat of choice I do chicken (buffalo flavor for a little kick) or turkey, chopped pepper (green, red or yellow) onion, cheese in a flower wrap and in the grill till hot.

    I would think a Foreman Grill would draw too much power for nearly any inverter to run...

    However, when I was OTR, I ate like a King using one of those 12V lunchbox style ovens available at most truckstops. Line it with tin-foil (the brand liners are a ripoff in comparison) and use your imagination.
    Paired with a Coleman 12V refrigerator to keep lunch meat, greens, cheeses, meats and drinks cool, life was good... I ate fast food a dozen times in over a year with that setup.

    Or this. Real kitchens trump truck-bunk ingenuity any day.
