US Xpress announced that they no longer will be doing road tests at orientation starting in a few weeks since most of the people they hire go with a trainer anyway. They will still do road tests on experienced drivers. I guess the reason for all of this is to save money. Hopefully not cause their hurting financially.
I went to Kinkos and had them make a PDF of the 2015 Benefits Guide. Hope this will help everyone make an informed decision since often times you can't find out about the benefits until you're already at most companies. The company offers a Standard and Premium health plan. Go with the Premium. Its more money weekly but anytime you have to use that insurance....your saving money over the standard plan.
My wife and I made a form that will help every driver at this company keep their trips(each run) organized and make it easier to track your payroll. What we do is have it on the back of our trip sheets. You can manually write it or go to Kinkos/Staples/etc. and have it printed on the back of each trip sheet.
For those of you on the Ceva dedicated account and are unsure of how to keep track of your 4,700 mile weekly guarantee and your US Xpress payroll, my wife has made a video that should make it easy.
