I use a ram mount for my Ipad. I took the qualcomm and rest it on my passager seat. If you can install the ram mount (Or already have one.) in your truck I think its the best. Very strong hold and you can do a lot to get them out of the way in cases like needing to shift. (That normally takes a bit to get a good spot when I get in a new truck. 9th/7thHiLo be a bit of a pain.)

They also have mounts that stick to the wind shield or use the passager seat bolts.

Ah. I'll stick with the consoles and computer I have in the truck. I personally never found IOS games that enjoyable.

Seems a bit pricey but worth looking at.

    Yes,i know they aren't cheap.
    But they are very good.
Had one for years and will get another one this weekend.(getting a new phone)
FYI they have holders specific to 1 model but they also have adjusteble ones.

In my Volvo the sun visor folds up away from the driver, and it's big enough to attach an iPad mini to it without issue... I will slap up a large section of Velcro to it and the back of my iPad mini, if I get one, and then it's up out of the way when I don't need it and just look up and/or adjust it down to use it.

And then that helps me keep the dash clean and clear as well.

But good to have quality options out there too.

I've the new Apple TV at home. Gaming with the remote is actually not at all as bad as it seems it would be. Takes a little of getting used to, but it works well. Problem is as already has been said. It constantly downloads new content and doesn't seem to want to run some games if there's no connection. But racing games on it work well, so do all the others.

Edit: I'll be taking the Apple TV with me either way. It's pretty easy to mirror the phone to it without wifi using AirPlay. And watching something on Netflix is just better on something I don't have to hold in my hands.

    Here's a great post on how: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7347092?start=0&tstart=0

Maybe they improved it since the last time I tried it but I always found airplay wrecked quality. But I have a nexus player in the truck so I can use that to cover most things I want to do. There also a Laptop. a desktop and a console in the truck too so lots and lots of options. I really should clear some of my toys out of the truck.

Will an iPhone connect via AirPlay without a local WiFi? I mean we have one (Gen 2) at home and AirPlay to it all the time but I thought it was connecting over the Apple WiFi Router and not directly.

I was going to put in a Router but if it's not needed to AirPlay directly to the Apple TV then Awesome. I agree, watching something on a bigger screen would be preferred.

Is there maybe a switch on the new Apple TV to force a full download of the Apps/Games you want to use offline? Would be cool if it did.
