The south Philly location is vending only now. The northeast Philly handles all that now. It's overworked - especially since the west Chester plant closed to. But that's good for you. Plenty of OT.

Well I arrived for my road test at 7:50 this morning. Sat in the cafiteria for about 45 min with another guy who was taking the road test. Filled out some paperwork and was handed a vest. Another trainer showed up and split me and the other guy up.

Well first part of the road test was Pre-trip. Easy enough, I mean it's been 6 years since I drove a truck but what could I miss if I just point at everything right. Well I was right anyway 2nd part was air brake test. Luckily they gave us a cheat sheet while we are in the cafiteria so the whole time we were in there I memorized or refreshed myself on it. Right when I was starting mine the other guy was being walked back into the office.

Come to find out this guy during the pre trip didn't open the hood at all. Well the instructor let that one slide then they went to do the air brake test and as soon as he let the pressure build up he told the instructor I forgot what to do next. Well he was done.

Anyway next part was a little course. Site side, blind side and straight back backing. Mixed in with some clearance test. Easy!!! Then came the actual road test. I did regular small street driving highway driving and main road driving. A lot of turns and merging situations. After that back into the office to ask when I would like to start. That's all she wrote. I will keep updating this as I go. Thanks for reading.

That northeast Philly road test is no joke. There's a really great group of guys over there. It's a tough job, but the guys are some of the best guys you'll ever meet. They'll all help you out with anything you need in the beginning.

    Who did your test? bob?
