    Most all questions you have would be answered on company sites or by reading these threads.
    This is the kind of thing you need to do endless homework on.

    Yes I actually have a spreadsheet laid out for each company with all fixed exspenses and high end estimated variable exspenses to get a rough estimate of what my take home would be after 20% is taken out for taxes and I even have current bills in there as well as a high budget for me living exspense to see how much roughly I'll be netting a month after everything is said and done, that's why I asked about the fsc bc I didn't see it outlined anywhere on the website and if it's there I missed it lol

    You have a good start, read through this thread and you'll see plenty of examples wig actual numbers, this will give you a good start on calculating earnings.

    When considering fixed expenses don't forget to include living expenses - ask yourself if you can really cover these with your earnings and build in money not only to fix the truck and for PM's, but also to cover your home fixed expenses while your truck is in the shop, for example could you go 2 weeks and still be ok?

    With respect to taxes remember you not only will be paying your share but also the portion paid by your company, this is a cost that is often overlooked.

    When you see @freightwipper talking about $2000 per week after expenses keep in mind he's been at this for awhile and knows lots of tricks, newbies may struggle to make what a good safe second or third year driver will make from what I am reading.

    This by no means is intended to discourage you, heck you're at least trying to be analytical about this, it's just that running a business brings with it many risks and you need to have eyes wide open.

    FSC is negotiated between carrier and shipper. It's based the national average of fuel but is still negotiated between the two parties for said lane. The only thing SNI guarantees is 100% of what was negotiated. It's why the Fsc is all over the place.

    So you are saying they negotiate one price bill another and pocket the rest? Much like this purchase power program I keep hearing over and over again on the radio. We can cut to the chase if that's what you mean. Lol.

    This is why I only look at what the end rate is. Only thing that matters to me. If SNI pays me let's say 2 bucks a mile and they bill 10 I don't care. Some would. I get it. I made good money that's all that matters. All the rest is BS. It's safe to assume they make a lot of money of everything we do. Want to discuss the IFTA program. I do know good money can be made here. You do too. You know it much better than myself. I just don't assume the boogie man is around every corner.
