Yes $2.00 a mile has been my cutoff for hauling. I told him that and he went on the spill of I have 20 drivers that are happy and blah blah. Guess that's what brokers do is try make most of you and when you shut down they move to the next.

ya Know......This kind of noise is what angers me the most.

Folks will run into a couple hundred k..Then,Buy trucks n trailers with low or No Knowledge of transportation.....I'm Not Saying the OP here has done that...But It seems pretty safe to say....

When you guys do this...Your hurting the Industry that many of us structured with sweat and Blood over significant time......

I Know its a Free market Whatever- Get Schooled in this business before you start asking these kind of questions

But to answer your question OP- you'll Fail at $1.80 a mile especially with a "Partner" And Your Not even Driving.... Are You at Least Working on them?

Are they trip leasing you or something? Or they are that big that they have their own freight everywhere?

If the latter then why don't you run for several brokers and piece together 2500 miles for that same 2.15?

For one, I didnt run into a couple hundred k, I went to college and got a education and have a very good paying job, second I work in the trucking industry in research and development and deal with big fleets, third if you don't like my post you are free to pass along without saying anything, I'm not the "guys" that's wanting to run cheap freight, and yes I work on my own trucks and all the tools to do it with. I dismount and mount my own tires (the proper way) while using products that don't deteriorate the rubber, gauge all my tires and figure my miles per 32nd to actually buy the best product for my application, gauge all my aluminium wheel flanges so they are in spec, pull out my meter and trouble shoot electrical problems, and so on. I have a lot more knowledge than you may think. And last thank you for the answer to my question.

I mostly run their own stuff. Just a few loads they get from other brokers to get me back. We haul a lot of crane parts which never stops because once the crane is done they move to another location.

Brokers are not customers, and you should not rely on them for business 100% of the time.... Neither are leases to company's, I know that ruffles feathers. It's the truth.
