I'm fairly new to these load-boards
I'm interested in a load but I see that about 10 brokers are posting it.
whats does this exactly mean? How do I find out whose load it is and to try to get the most money for it?
10 different brokers posting the exact same load

More than likely it is a load the customer gave out to a list of brokers CHR, TQL, LS or whoever with clear instructions on the cheap "target rate" not to exceed. In other words very seldom are these loads paying anything but peanuts. They are shopped, shopped, shopped by everyone...Sometimes it is bottom feeder brokers grabbing loads up from the source broker or trucking company but more often than not it is some fortune 400-500 company that routinely moves bulk excess for nothing almost all the time.
silver dollar Thanks this. -
if you call one, then the other,30$ diff. you find that you did your/self in because 1st one got load for you then posts the trip on you, I would say truck not start can,t haul load sorry.

If you figure who the customer is call and ask to be added as a carrier and start getting the list. But the rates will typically not be that great. These are loads that new brokers cut their teeth on. Not a lot of margin. We hauled a lot of Menards loads direct and they would also send loads to brokers. Often saw rates from brokers for $30 less than we got it for.

Yup, for sure a shipper that wants to move a truckload for cheap/ below lane average, gives it to multiple brokers and looks for the lowest bid. I've seen that a lot with a desirable lanes out of spots with less freight. Possible double brokering too.

Take the highest paying one some agents just want a larger piece of the pie.

Those loads are typically what you'll find on loadboards, nobody wants them... Thats a sure-fire way to put yourself outta business.
Heres my 'tip' of the day............
Flatbed drivers.....Contact Nu-Cor Steel in your area.....Always looking for Carriers with capacity instead of Freight Brokers. CSR's are very friendly and need trucks!
YOUR WELCOME281ric and BigBadBill Thank this. -
There's good stuff on loadboards also. One just has to be very selective and not impose limitations on what they haul, for example "long haul flatbed". Think out of the box.
BigBadBill and 281ric Thank this. -
How long before they pay?

35-45 days on volume billing.....
