I just went in to get my medical card and was told that I must be 21+. Maybe I missed something, but I was under the very strong impression that you have to have a DOT card to get a class A license, and you can get said license at 18. Is it not required for intrastate? Thanks.
Does Texas even require a medical to run intrastate? Or for that matter any other state? As I've never looked into it I can actually see it not being needed.
In Texas an intrastate only driver does not require a Federal medical certificate, rather they use an intrastate waiver. For more information read this guide book published by the Texas Department of Public Safety. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...UQFnoECCUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3GxZQLOICwpQw63TV8ZURY
