If she's paying bills online just give her the card number, expiration date and security code.

why not just get a checkbook. direct deposit to that
pay your bills and hers thru that online

com data cards are not meant to be debit or credit cards as such

    I have the almighty answer!.....

I have always had a Comdata card... yes they suck but you are not screwed when comes to needing to pay bills. You can not use it like a regular credit card because they are ATM Cards. At the next Truck Stop look for a NetSpend Card.... This is a Prepaid Credit Card. It cost $3.95.

Then after you get it, activate it and you can Add $20 to $250 instantly to the card at almost any truck stop. I use Flying J or Pilot for this....

You then can dial 611 on your cell phone and make a payment over the phone since you now have a prepaid credit card (It has a Visa or Matercard Logo)

If you have a Laptop... you can Login to your Netspend.com account and pay bills online....

Answer solved... Oh, and you can order a second card to have sent home too....

He could do that but I had a Comcheck once I needed to cash while I was on home time and I could not cash it anywhere except the truck stop... ( I dont use banks) So if there is a truck stop near by that would work for him... Minus the fee to cash the comcheck..

yes...there are a thousand companies who will sell you a prepaid debit card. they all know there is a sucker born every minute. most banks will give you one for free, why in the world do people pay for them? same problem with comdata card...fees attached to them for every day use are ridiculous. go to a local credit union and open an account...give your mother access to this account, and have the company send some or all opf your pay into this account. most companies will split up your paycheck, sending a percentage to one account and the rest to another...or a comdata card. most companies also allow you to take a certain amount as an advance AGAINST your paycheck using the comdata card. i personally have a portion sent to one account for bills...my wife has access to this...and the rest sent to another account for investing...she does not have access to this. she does bills, i do retirement. i use comdata card to take an advance when i need to, but plan ahead of time only to allow myself to take out up to x per week.

You could set up an account with TAB. You could then have a debit card sent to you and your mother. If you wish, you can also order checks on the account. There are no fees for deposits. You can register a comcheck and it will b in your account in minutes. You can make deposits at any Flying J or Pilot by buying a gift card with cash or comcheck and call the number on your card, give them the number and the deposit is in immediately. There is no reason to use an ATM. That is too expensive.

I believe that Walmart has prepaid debit cards. I think that they charge about $4/month. It is easier to just open an account with TAB. All banking can be done over the telephone or online. They specialize in the trucking industry. If you use your Comcard like a check or debit card, the fees can get expensive.
