Greeting all, looking to get some advise and feedback on upgrading my turbo and also some tuning options that would be suited for what I do.
I pull super b’s and am grossing 140,000lbs, probably loaded about 70% of the time, run mostly Alberta, Saskatchewan, and pass through the Rockies over into BC on occasion, my 3406E 2WS was originally a 475hp and is currently set at 580hp, was told is a cat 550 file modified (probably trim codes), current turbo is a BW 177148, 18 sp tranny, with 3.90 gears on 22.5’s.
Am hoping to get a proper 600-650hp tune and the right turbo to go along with it.
Thought?
thanks in advance for your input.

There's a guy on YouTube who's incredibly knowledgeable on all Cat engines, his YouTube handle is KT3406E,
his email is KT3406E@gmail.com. The answer is not always a bigger turbo! You can watch his videos and learn
There are others who sell kits (and installations) on the net: Pittsburgh Power is one name I can recall.ABadAzzPete Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply zigzag, I’ll watch Kt3407e channel see what I can learn.

After reading countless hours of threads on this forum it’s seems there are a lot of extremely knowledgeable people on this site with so many praising the tune they’ve gotten from a Mr. Haney, how would one go about possibly get a tune from him, being I’m up in Canada and don’t truck across the border would be unlikely for myself I guess.

Maybe @swaan knows someone up there to take it to.
Otherwise you’ll have to ship it off @Superhauler may be able to help with that.Burley Thanks this. -

Cat engine masters 3 on facebook is another good resource for finding people in your area that know what they are doing. And for general knowledge.
Someone there will point you on the right track. The rabbit hole goes pretty deep on hard parts. If you are staying with stock injectors a 78/1.32 borg turbo seems to be the thing. Just the non waste gated turbo will help out quite a bit.
My 2 cents. Dont get all slap happy on buying a manifold if your stock one is not leaking. And as or tuning ... do not pay more than a couple hundred bucks for a flash file, unless it is a custom tune while your truck is strapped to a dyno. Lots of jokers tossing on cat flash files and charging premium money to do no work.
