I've been driving tankers for about five years. I spent a couple years in the Eagle Ford hauling crude and fracking fluids. Then I burnt out on the long hours and wanted to move back to Houston. I told a tanker company that I wanted to work about 50 hours on-duty a week, and they gave me some routes in a 10-hour radius from their yard on the east side. My job lost one of its clients this year. I'm still getting runs, but the new runs are longer hours, and I'm starting to burn out again. I moved into a spare bedroom in Spring a while ago, so I'm looking at companies on the north side of Houston, trying to find something that runs 40–50 hours a week. I don't mind sleeping in the truck a few nights a week. I just need to have a $40k paycheck to make my bills and enough time to unwind. I've been picking up the job mailers at the grocery store and watching craigslist for the past few weeks. Anyone know anything about any of these companies? US Express has a dedicated LTL account in New Caney that runs for local Wal-Marts, but they said the weekly hours varies a lot and couldn't give me a good idea of the average. Waste Management has a garbage truck job in Conroe, but they said the hours were 45–60 hours a week and couldn't give me an average, either. McLane Food Service isn't too far from me, but I applied online and haven't heard anything back from them yet. I also saw an ad for Labatt Food Service, but they're a bit farther drive away from me. Argos has an ad for local concrete drivers, and they have a few different places on the north side. They said I need to go apply in person, but I'm having trouble getting time off during the week. There's a few different car haulers near the Hardy Toll Rd, including US Auto and CAR. Never driven a car hauler, but I was a hotel valet for a few years after school. Having trouble getting a hold of them to see what the hours are like. There's a tanker company called CMR Transport really close to where I live. I need to call them and see what kind of loads they run. Reynolds Nationwide keeps posting to craigslist about a local water hauler. Can't figure out where their yard is.

Tankers were supposed to be the good paying jobs. I can't beleive how much wages have dropped. My bro in law is on track to make $20k less this year pulling oil.
@Chinatown with how much experience can I apply at mission petroleum. Also how the company treats it's drivers and what are the good the bad and the ugly about mission. Please advise thanks.
