I think your Stryker would overdrive it and eventually kill the Palomar. I'd look at a Texas Star 500 or maybe a TNT 600.

I have been out of the CB think for 15-20 yrs. Used to run a Cobra 29LTD and a 250 Bilinar kicker. Now back on the road for a couple trips a month. Truck is a KW W900 that has a Cobra 29 LTD (I think its an LTD) that comes from the factory. Question is can I run a hot wire up to the built in radio with out too many problems. Also I am running twin 4 ft. Francis stick same as I always did. I run from Michigan to Fayetville Arkansas and from Michigan to Reading Pa. Could you recommend some place en route to pick up a small kicker like I used to run. I think it was a Texas star.

Well looking at the specs for a palomar 450 it has a perfered dead key input of 10-15 wats with a prefered radio out put swing of 80 to 100 watts so more than likely you will be able to power it but you probally will not get full output maybe look at a low drive version from texas star or something

That Stryker IMO is too much radio for a Palomar 450...The "Specks" may say you can dump 10-15w's worth of DK into them, but they are not going to last very long with that high a DK...

    I would go with a straight 6-pill...Davemade, Fatboy, X Force, whatever...Unless your just looking for a splatter-box.
