    It is incredible some of the wrong directions I get from the GPS. I don't even want to say it is so goofy.

    What gps is he following his phone with google or a truck specific gps would be nice to know but ether way common sense has to kick in at some point.

    Definitely what’s wrong with trucking. He might not be old but time to retire if you can’t think for yourself.

    Yea....gps is great and all...but sometimes its best to eyeball a road and admit "this is a bad idea" and back out and find a diffrent route. Every real truck driver has made that turn and gone "nope nope nope" and done the backup of shame.

    That and even if you totally rely on gps. We have free to the public sat photos like this

    Aint exactly rocket surgery to do basic trip planning.... yet that seems to be a lost skill anymore

    Happens all the time, I-80 closes and google maps takes people down random county/forest service roads that no one belongs on.
