Are there any companies with paid training that does NOT require you to pay them back if you fail after you have received the company training? Hope fully they won't put a mark on DAC report.?.?Having hard time finding class B job. I have my class B with Tanker and HazMat with clean driving record but thinking about upgrading my CDL to Class A.

I'm not sure you can say, They are requiring you to stay certain amount of time, If you don't then they can collect from you and do as they need to your DAC, there are companies that the length of time they require you to stay is not as long as some of the others, I'm not sure if you are expecting to go to a school where they train you and then not work for them for a certain length of time!, But if that is the case, you better stay doing what you are doing, everything has a price. Take Care.

I am a man of my word and if I sign a contract I plan on keeping my end of the agreement.
I have seen lots of horror stories on here and know a few people that failed road test. I have read stories where students were not given secound chance.
How ever I think I can do it as long as training is on the longer side. Knight looks the best so far.?..

That is like asking any school to refund your money if you can't make the grade.
Totally unrealistic, and unfair, to ask of any school.

Any time you pay for training in any field, you take the risk of flunking out.
Truck driving is no different; nor is company sponsored training any different than paying up front at a private school, except that you pay after the training instead of before.

I don't know if it would go on the DAC, but it sure would be a hit on your credit rating.
It would be the same as not paying back a student loan.

Crst I would stay away from. But to answer your question Crst will train you, but u have to stay with them for 8months teaming with another guy who just got cut loose from his trainer also. IF you stay eight months you want owe anything and will be free to do as you please stay with them be a solo company driver or go else where. But if you quit within the eight months you will owe them. That's one company It's one more I heard of that does that also but not sure which one.

Are you just wanting to add Class A to your lic. or get a job needing a Class A?

If you just want the Class A, you can usually find a truck and trailer for rent to take the DMV test, depending on the company you want to work for they may or may not accept that and then would have you do their own training

keep doing your homework and make sure to ask the recriuter this question.Every company is different but I think if you can find a good training company, they'll work with you till you pass. Some of the best drivers today are the ones that took longer to finally get it.CRENGLAND has been known not to give students chances from what I have read on here,Swift too and crst.

This question could be a red flag to a recruiter.

If you are that bad they would probably send you home early.

But if you are good enough to go through the school and then fail the road test that would be suspicious. What is to prevent you from purposely failing the road test to cancel the debit , Then go and rent a truck and take the test at the DMV and get your CDL on the cheap?

I don't see why recruiters would consider that a bad question.I think its a perfectly legitimite question. You don't wanna get there and be surprised. Not everyone passes the first time.In fact a lot of students fail at the first try, that doesn't make them bad drivers. That does not mean they wont pass the second time around. If a recruiter considers that a stupid question and dances around it then go elsewhere.People needs to start asking more questions.Too many unwanted surprises in this industry which causes drivers to quit.

Go to Law school, fail the bar examine and you still pay for the schooling, I would think that any company that wants you to drive for them wouldn't cut you loose if you failed the first time, they have that program because they know they will get it all back with interest, so unless you completely failed by ignorance I would guess a 2nd try is an option
