long story short, husband got shafted by the planners and isn't making it home for Thanksgiving. Anybody suggest a decent place to eat for Thanksgiving on I 29 between Kansas City Mo and Fargo ND?

    Ameristar Casino in Kansas City
Ameristar or Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, maybe the Hooters will be open.
By the Petro in Fargo is a Space Alien Restraunt, But it might be closed today.

The Farris truck stop in Faucett, MO typically has good food. Smoking was still allowed in there too last time I stepped in...

Thank you so much-these are perfect. I think he's going to try for the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs.

He's in Fargo a lot so he definitely wants to check out the Space Alien -sounds interesting.

    Happy Thanksgiving! :occasion5:

Thanks so much. I think he's going to try to get to Council Bluffs before he stops but he'll definitely check this one out on his next run.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

All 3 of those casinos have truck parking.
The Horseshoe in Council Bluffs would be my top choice

I ate at a fantastic Steak House at the KC Ameristar about ten years ago.

Then walked a hundred feet or so to the lounge and saw Lonesome Hank And The Heartaches put on a great show.

That steakhouse raised their prices so high when Pinnacle bought them out that it always looks empty now. Plus they got rid of Brandon the bartender, I was a regular there.
    But now
$37 for a steak?? No way!
But they have a great Buffett and the sports bar has cheap craft beer they brew themselves and a great meat lovers “bar style” pizza.

    hoosiergirl Thanks this.
