where is a good location to live - once I'm working on my own in my own truck in the western region?

i live in California now but want to move ( but would maybe stay depending?).
Just wondering where is a good location to live to get good amount of work
plus anything else that i would overlook as Newbie.

to start would it be good to live in Missoula where they ( jim palmer trucking) are located?
or better to live in a place with better weather.
