I've been out driving for the holidays and have seen rates shoot through the roof. I've been running between NC and IL and getting great rates in both directions which is very unusual. I'm assuming it's the amount of trucks off the road for the holidays.

The load I'm on now is heading to IL. A hot spot for flatbed freight. I already had my rate in mind and before I could say anything she blew my mind. And.....This was from Landstar to boot.

No, for the first time in many years I took this holiday season off. I'll pull out on Friday morning.

Nope. I have family I like better than money. I quit a company once because they did not get me home for Thanksgiving...was the ONLY time in 20 years I missed a Holiday with my loved ones. Everybody's got their own individual wants and needs. And I don't NEED the money that bad...so I don't WANT to work on Holidays.

Nope. Every weekend, every holiday, home. I worked to get it to this point in my life and I am not changing unless something really drastic happens.
