Got the great news I'm taking a load to Winter Garden FL from Ohio today. I want to run down A1A so I can do some fishing at some point. Will I be ok to do that and any potential problems I could in counter? I'm a 5 axles set up grossing 80k. Thanks in advance.

Trucks are restricted on A1A from American Beach to FL 105. Get yourself a Trucker's Road Atlas and a Florida fishing license so that you don't get yourself into trouble.

In some cases there are good solid reasons for prohibiting large trucks from highways.

assuming your running down from N to S.....your good...although painful....from the A1A cut off on 95(just south of scale)....you will however have to continue s on Heckshere Dr to I295....since A1A....becomes a ferry over to Mayport.....any of the 3 Main drags S of the river bridge on 295 Will get you back to the beach....when you cross back over the intercoastal at Vollano beach to St.Augustine...you will have to jump back to US1...south to The south bridge since downtown St Augustine and the Bridge of lions are restricted.....from there you are good to the south Daytona bridge SR400....south A1A...ends 10 miles south of there at Ponce Inlet.....afyer that there are only pieces of it accessible until south of Cape Canaveral.....buy when you cross 400bridge west....it will lead you right to the begining of I4 west to head to Winter Garden.....as for fishing..
.b4 you cross onto St Aug....just south of Nat'l park....there is a Gate Station w/big sand lot....typically full of boat trailers....but Usually room....right across from Atlantic where you could beach surf cast.....also on 1st section just south of Amelia Island at Hecksher park....you can usually get in one of those lots midweek....jus south of there at ferry landing can usually park and river fish (but not real good spot....due to currents&large ship trfx....but you can jump on ferry for the about 2min ride across to Mayport....a very old&working fishing village and go about 50 yds south to Somgletons Seafood Shack on the pier&eat yourself into a fresh catch coma....:D
