Good evening everyone, I am a freight broker for a top 35 broker in the US. For my own safety, I will not give out my name or the company I work. I want to share my experiences as a broker to educate you and in turn, I hope you can educate me as well. I work specifically flatbed, stepdeck and specialized trailers. I do not have any experience brokering van freight. But ask me anything you’d like: things I value most in a carrier, how myself and others I work with handle TONUs/Detention, how I prefer to communicate with drivers or dispatchers, etc. Just some examples, I’m sure I’ll have plenty of questions for all of you as well.

Why is your SAFETY in jeopardy if you name your employer? Do they employer kneecappers? Or are you afraid of everyone who has been burned by your company?
just a question 1. why does a broker charge a shipper one fee. then take the fuel surcharge and a large percentage from the transport company hauling the product?

This forum will bury you in anything. You might want to rethink asking for asking you anything. First off I don't know enough about your situation to ask anything approaching being not stupid or looked at as nuts. Follow me? Specialized? What's that? Lift gate? pole trailer? Stakes? covered wagon? Heavy haul? Goose neck? Containers etc etc etc etc. How can I ask you questions that fall within a range of your knowledge expected of someone in your type of profession? I cannot. Follow me? What I could do is ask stupid questions. You will never get the chance to answer me when some people make a game and entertainment of giving me a hard time causing the mods to lock this thing. HE HE....
