Best company to get CDL with

Hello there I am thinking about getting my CDL with a company but not sure what company I should go to. I hear GREAT things on the truckersreport about Swift. That is the company I am thinking about but not sure. What would you guys recommend? i also hear that Henderson trucking is other company that i was recommend that I should go to. Also forgot to put that I live in southern California

Go with a company that doesn't have driver facing cameras.
You can ask the recruiters about this, but I'm pretty sure the following don't have cameras;

Earl Henderson Trucking
Southern Refrigerated Transport
Knight Transportation
Celadon
Wil-Trans
KLLM

 

Well I would think that if Swift has good success with facing cameras that all the other companies would start doing that.

 

What is your definition of "good success."
I wouldn't work for any company with driver facing cameras or sound monitoring technology unless it is a last resort. Why would anyone subject themself to that when there are other choices?

 

Well I would be afraid that if Swift has good success with it like no one cares about it etc etc that other companies would start to do that to so drivers would not have a say about it if everyone is doing that.

 

Swift doesn't have APU's or refrigerators either. Other companies have driver friendly ammenities.

 

Ya thats a deal breaker for me don't want to idle the truck all night long.
