Hey I'm going to be training with CR England next month. I have a friend from my area who is having a heck of a good time driving for cre. I go onto the companys page and they claim wealth and freedom. But I go to this forum and hear nothing good. Someone pleaaaaaaaaaase let me know what really goes on before I make a big mistake.

Every company's webpage claims "wealth and freedom". I take it you are a rookie. If so, CR England is not your only option. I would suggest contacting a construction company or something that uses dump trailers.

I actually work for a construction company with dump trailers and where I am they pay hourly and not very good at all. I actually dont have a cdl and i dont have money for school and nobody to let me use their truck to take the test. Even if I had my cdl i cant find a company that will hire without any experience.

Then you may need to find a driving school that teaches trucks. Some of them do. I got my license through one. Look in the phone book. After you get the license your company may put you in a truck.

I'd stay away from CRE. The odds are not good that you'll do well there. And just starting out, you as a newbie especially need stability.

Check out Crete's deal. You can read about it here. You can go to a community college in Lincoln, Nebraska as a Crete trainee, get your CDL, go to work for a good company, and hit the road. It may take a few weeks, but it'll be cheaper in the long run. This is especially true if you end up quitting CRE a few months in and end up unemployed for a week or two while you get set back up again. And who knows? If you quit CRE too soon, you may have to go back and retrain at another driving school.

Yeap. I'd stay away from CRE for sure. It's too risky to take a chance on them. I say this because I know what they are like. I know their history, which is really a prelude to their future. You don't want "more of the same--CRE's version" as a green driver.

CRE is a strange company in it's own way. I started off with them, and left for it seemed I was not making money with them, but after getting home and looking at my bank account, I was.

I would look else where, but no matter who you drive for, it only going to be as good as the effert you put into it.

    venne Thanks this.

CRE,is the pitts, you have to look far and wide to find a driver that has ever stayed there very long, Check out snieder, crst not very good either, check your local gov. on free schooling or retraining program. if you go with cre,be sure and be a company driver, not lease, you'll only get screwed half as bad. Good luck, let us know how you are doing.

I got to say on CRE's Part their School is not really that bad. Not a great ratio, but I learn to drive with little to no problems. The bad part they make you sign an agreement, but they did not inforce it with me. I left after 2 to 3 months and went to work shortly afterwards.
