    hi everyone . .
    iam on an adventure in Middle East deserts . check out how they haul heavy load as 135 k with a single axle on Mercedrs , MAN , Volvo etc .

    is it possible to duplicate that with a Ryder's used freightliner single axle 14L Detroit ?

    many thanks ;

    Nope, most states you can not meet bridge law. Might need a 3 axle trl. if running a single axle truck.

    no way to get 135k on that setup legal in the us unless maybe if your pulling triples.

    You must take into account that the axles on eu trucks are stronger than on the trucks here with bigger stronger diffs in them too. It's a good idea though because a single axle is cheaper to buy and run with fuel savings of on average 1mpg. I don't know how the weight laws here would allow for them, 6x2 configurations are very popular in Europe , cheap to run too and a rear lift axle would have superior grip on ice compared to any other type including 6x4's, I used own a rear lift steer axle, that was brilliant! Centre lift quad/twin steers are popular too.

    Driving in the middle east sure is an adventure, how do you like it?

    thank you all for replies ..

    i was really conceren over the strenghth of American truck v. EU truck but i already purchased the freightL CL

    i have no choice but to try to do it their way . for a business wise , not bad at all , you buy FullCoverge Insurance for 1800$/year , and you find work 24/7, if u want to work 8 hours/day with weekend off , you make 6k after all expenses /month. you fill up 200Gal with 180$:d

    the american part of me said : buy american truck hope i wont regret it lol though every spare part has to be shipped by DHL

    Scania man Thanks this.
