Can I lease on to a carrier if I rent my truck (and maybe trailer too)?

Hot Shot or Class 8 … if I can even find a rental.
Seems like that would NOT work, but I don’t know a dang thing about such things lol.

Sure. No different than any Lease or purchase. Only thing I can think of would be Insurance rules or requirements. Never heard of any. I used to know a Guy that did just that. Leased a Truck from Penske or Ryder. It was expensive, but his costs were very controlled, as far as repairs go, no surprises, no downtime. Truck goes down, they bring you another. Main reason so many companies use Penske and Ryder. Fixed costs. No investment.

If you can’t buy a truck outright you can’t afford a rental truck. Don’t think any big rental companies will touch you.

work hard save money and buy a 2007 or older truck for cash. The odds of surviving go way up.

Renting a truck requires a business account with the rental/leasing company.
It's not a simple process as if renting a car.

That don’t matter, the company will look at how long you are in business.

I tried for four years all over the country to find a rental truck. Most companies want atleast 2 years in business.
Good luck thou. Never give up
