You will not be able to know what ' s ahead of you,

Until you have seen at least four pictures and read

The explanation of what they are. Our future is here!

    Incredible!!

    Amazing technology from Japan . . .

Look closely and guess what they could be...

    Are they pens with cameras?

Any wild guesses? No clue yet?

    Ladies and gentlemen... Congratulations!

You've just looked into the future...

    Yep that's right!

You have just seen something that will

Replace your PC in the near future.

    Here is how it works:

In the revolution of miniature computers,

    Scientists have made great developments

    With bluetooth technology...

This is the forthcoming computers you

Can carry within your pockets .

This ' pen sort of instrument ' produces

Both the monitor as well as the keyboard

On any flat surfaces from where you can

Carry out functions you would normally do

    On your desktop computer.

    Can anyone say, ' Good-bye laptops! '

Looks like our computers are out of date...

    Again!!!

Honestly I don't, but I will see if I can find out. I just happened to find out about this today because I was talking to a teacher about what OS that would better match my hardware changes. Somewhere in the conversation of technology talk, this came out and intrigued me. I got them to email me this and is exactly what the email looked like.

ok, you should do this test...

Sit at a table, and just pretend you are typing something on the surface of the table for about 10 minutes.

I think I would take a keyboard any day.

I do know the projected keyboard is available now for PC's. Also, I saw a report at CES of a cell phone with a projector in it so this really isn't far off, although the actual computing guts (MB, Storage, etc...) will still take up some space.

Here is the keyboard....$200 for Blackberry, Smartphone, PDA, MAC & Tablet PC

    Google virtual-laser- keyboard

The real revolution will probably be a gesture interface. But we are probably at least a decade away from a usable (by more than a few geeks, I'm talking general populace) system.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gesture_recognition

You can think of gesture recognition kind of like the iPhone/Pre type of touch interface on steroids.....and without touching anything

They're also supposed to be coming out with computers that you wear like glasses. Ultimately, you will move the mouse cursor with your brain.

That's been on snopes for a couple years actually. It was featured at a comdex I think in 06 as a concept design. There were and probably are no working models of that right now.

The part about moving the cursor with the brain is probably more myth. But the eyeglasses monitor is already here. It would be different though to have eyeglasses, which actually looked like eyeglasses, but could project your desktop virtually in front of you at anytime at your command.

For people who travel light ie: frequent flyers, truckers, etc. this should be a big seller. We would all like to have our own home setup all the time.
