I ran local shuttles for them a few years ago with
occasional layovers to northern New England.
The money was half decent but nothing to brag about.
At first it was all no touch freight (mostly live unload).
Then dispatch started a scheme to keep the lumper money for
themselves while coercing drivers to lump all freight for free.
If you said no they gave you the crappiest runs on the board.
I told them I would do it for only half the lumper fees but no,,
they wanted to keep it all for their own little circle of theives.

Some drivers actually fell for this scam and stayed on.
    Why,, I don't know.
Your guess is as good as mine.
Roughly half the drivers jumped ship overnight -- including me.
That was in 2008 and from what I hear they're still doing this.
And I see their ad in the paper almost every single week.
Basically the word is out on these clowns and nobody seems to be interested.
Unless yer desperate for work - and don't mind lumping for free - I would steer clear.
I've got better things to do with my time.

Yep, a lot of grocery centers and shop-rite stores.
Some of those shop-rite docks were designed for
straight trucks and pup trailers - not 53'ers.
You'll find those mainly in central NJ and NY.
Basically Carlisle (and others) get the runs
that are turned down by other carriers.
That should tell you a lot right there.
Do yourself a huge favor and steer cleer of this outfit.
